Workshops and Parties
We run a range of workshops, garden parties and other events through the year. Please look through the list and details for those currently planned and follow the instructions to book places.
Friendship Quicknics and Crafternoon Tea

The activities on these days are all specially designed to suit older people, those living with dementia and their carers.
Current social distancing rules are followed, and we ask that you wear warm clothing and strong shoes.
We need to be sure we can provide enough covered areas, suitable activities, refreshments and adequate support so BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL, numbers are limited, and places allocated on a first come first served basis.
Suggested donations towards materials and costs for this programme are £5 per person per session.

Woodfit
This is a programme of weekly sessions designed to improve your fitness, confidence and wellbeing.
Current social distancing rules are followed, and we ask that you wear warm clothing and strong shoes.
Suggested donations towards the costs are £2 per person per session (£4 per morning). Limited places so ADVANCE BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Session 1: Bodyweight exercise session in the woods suitable for all abilities (barefoot optional). Develop whole body strength, improve your cardiovascular system and increase flexibility whilst breathing in the fresh air.

Session 2: Outdoors stretch and de-stress session – Improving and developing flexibility and learning relaxation techniques in the fresh air.

Escape to the Woods Mini Workshops
These mini taster wellness workshops are run interactively by a subject specific professional and will involve indoor and outdoor activities alongside learning. Materials and light refreshments included.
Current social distancing rules are followed, and we ask that you wear warm clothing and strong shoes.
As these workshops are subsidised by Anglian Water, Aviva, Lincolnshire Community Foundation, and LPFT suggested donations towards materials and costs are £10 per person per session. Limited places so ADVANCE BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Learn about the composers, the music, the instruments and techniques used to mimic the sounds and emotions of the forest. No musical experience needed!

A Floral Retreat
A relaxing, interactive session providing the opportunity to design and make a range of innovative floral designs. Jane Newman NDSF is the lead tutor. She is an experienced florist, horticulturalist and flower arranger who loves to work with natural materials and flowers. World travel has inspired her ideas to use nature and the enjoyment of woods and flowers to improve your mental health. In her own words, “enjoying nature and making it into floral designs gives a tremendous sense of satisfaction and relaxation—anybody can achieve pleasure from doing this”

Photography Workshop
This interactive session will include tutorials, alongside the opportunity to take a range of photos. David Harrison, a local commercial and award-winning wildlife photographer, is the lead tutor. In his own words “the best camera is the one you have in your hand”. About the workshop “it’s not about technicalities, it’s about having fun and learning along the way.”
Cameras are available to borrow and a 1:1 tutorial included.

Making decorations suitable for outdoors including door rings and how to brighten up the outdoor areas of your home. Jane Newman NDSF is the lead tutor.
